My Family Can
Be Forever
2004 Primary Program
Children enter chapel single file from both entrances singing:
“FAMILIES CAN BE TOGETHER FOREVER”. (CS, 188) They stand in front of their seats until all of the children are in front of their seats. Finish singing the song.
CHILD #1:
“The family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children.”

CHILD #2 :
Our primary theme this year is “My Family Can Be Forever.” For our primary presentation today, we are going to share with you what we have learned in primary this year.
SCRIPTURE # 1: “I am a child of God. I know Heavenly Father loves me, and I love Him. I can pray to Heavenly Father anytime, anywhere. I am trying to remember and follow Jesus Christ.” (Faith in God guidebook, inside front cover)

CHILD #3:
I lived in heaven with Heavenly Father and Jesus before I was born. Heavenly Father and Jesus want us to live again as families in heaven.
CHILD #4:
I am created in the image of God. My body is a temple.

ALL CHILDREN:
“I have a family here on earth.”
CHILD #5:
“Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan” (Proclamation, paragraph 7)
CHILD #6:
“Parents have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness” (Proclamation, paragraph 6)
CHILD #7:
The priesthood blesses, serves, and strengthens my family.
CHILD #8:
Have an older child tell why he/she thinks families are important.
SCRIPTURE #3: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6)

CHILD #9:
Before I cam to earth, I chose to follow Heavenly Father’s plan.
CHILD #10:
Jesus Christ was chosen to be the Savior. He atoned for my sins.
CHILD #11:
Because Jesus was resurrected, I will be resurrected.
CHILD #12:
Choosing the right and following Jesus will help me return to Heavenly Father.

The Holy Ghost blesses my family and helps me follow Jesus Christ.

I can follow Jesus by being a peacemaker.

I Feel My Savior’s Love and I am willing to share it with others.

Fathers preside, provide, and protect.

Mothers nurture their children.

Children honor and obey their parents and help one another.
CHILD #20:
Extended families led support when needed.

(Primary children sing first verse, hum 2-3 verses while older children speak them.

Being baptized and keeping my baptismal covenants can help me prepare to receive the blessings of the temple.

Family history and temple work unite the generations of my family and help me remember my heritage.

Faith in the Lord strengthens me and my family.
CHILD #30:
Prayer strengthens me and my family.
CHILD #31:
Repentance returns me to the Lord’s path.
CHILD #32:
To be forgiven I must forgive.

CHILD #33:
Showing respect for each other strengthens my family.

Showing love and compassion strengthens my family.
CHILD #35:
Working together strengthens my family.
CHILD #36:
Participating in wholesome recreational activities helps my family develop unity and love for one another.

Keeping the Sabbath day can strengthen my family.

Heavenly Father planned for Jesus to be born into a family.

Heavenly Father planned for each one of us to be born into a family. Families can be together forever through Heavenly Father’s plan and he has shown us how we can.
