| I love that the Primary focuses on a theme for every month
-- and what is even better that it is a scripture. I love the
scriptures. You can't go wrong when you teach from them. The
children need to gain an appreciation, understanding and a love for
the scriptures. In our ward, our Bishop makes sure that every child
has their own set of scriptures when they turn eight. If their
parents don't get them for them, he makes sure that they receive a
set. THEY LOVE IT!! When you instill a love and appreciation for
the scriptures when they are young it will carry through with them
when they become teen-agers and move into the Young Women and Young
Men Program.

With this in mind, we have created "Primary Scripture Stickers"
just for the Primary Children." Each month as you
introduce the new Monthly Theme and Scripture -- take the 1st
week of each month in sharing time or at the beginning of your class time and learn about that scripture. Or do them all in the same sharing time. Click on the link below for an outline.
Use this time to help the children memorize the scripture, put their
sticker in their own scriptures and highlight the scripture. In
years to come they will see them and remember them. What a
wonderful way to strengthen our children and create meaningful
memories as we teach them the Gospel. |
