CTR Scripture Sticker
Sharing Time

Click here for the CTR Scripture Stickers at www.debanae.net

On the first Sunday of each month, you may wish to take the first few minutes of your sharing time and have the children look up that month's scripture, read it, highlight it and put the scripture sticker in the margin. (Give the boys a boy sticker and the girls a girl sticker). Help them memorize it throughout the rest of the month.

If you want to do all of the scriptures on the same Sunday this could be a great sharing time!!

PREPARATION AND SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  1. CTR Scripture Stickers at www.debanae.net for each girl.
  2. Red or yellow color pencils or high-lighters for each child.
  3. Be sure that they all bring their scriptures. (You can order some CTR postcards and write the info on the back and send them during the week to remind them to bring their scriptures.)
  4. Be prepared for the sharing time.

  1. Have the song leader teach this song to the tune of "If you're happy and you know it" (CS. 266)

  2. Talk with them about the things that we sang in this song are some of the things that we should be doing as members of the church.

Talk about each one of them for a minute.

  3. Ask them if they have ever been dared to do something? You may choose to read them the letter in "The Friend" about choosing the right.

"Friend to Friend" by Rex D. Pinegar, The Friend, Oct. 1974.

SCRIPTURE STICKER ACTIVITY:

  1. Explain that you are going to mark some scriptures about Choosing the Right.

"Choose the Right" The Friend, Oct. 1997.

  2. Have all of the children turn around on their chairs with their scriptures. Give them all a sheet of "CTR" Scripture Stickers and a colored pencil. Have the scripture references written on the chalkboard and one by one look them up together, (have the teachers and presidency members ready to help find scriptures if needed) read the scripture, highlight it and put a CTR scripture sticker in the margin.

CONCLUSION:

  1. Visit about how important it is as members of the church to live these things. Bare your testimony of it.

  2. Sing "I Belong to the Church of Jesus Christ".
