"I'll Follow Him in Faith" Sharing Time
Click here for the CTR Scripture Stickers at www.debanae.net
On the first Sunday of each month, you may wish to take the first few minutes of your sharing time and have the children look up that month's scripture, read it, highlight it and put the scripture sticker in the margin. (Give the boys a boy sticker and the girls a girl sticker). Help them memorize it throughout the rest of the month.
If you want to do all of the scriptures on the same Sunday this could be a great sharing time!!
OR it would be great to make a packet and send home with all of the children to do in FHE!!
SCRIPTURE STICKER ACTIVITY:
- CTR Scripture Stickers at www.debanae.net for each girl.
- Red or yellow color pencils or high-lighters for each child.
- Be sure that they all bring their scriptures.
(You can order some CTR postcards and write the info on the back and send them during the week to remind them to bring their scriptures.)
- Be prepared for the sharing time.

Attention Getter:
- Play follow the leader around the primary room. Around and around....you may even want to go into the Cultural Hall if it wouldn't be too disruptive. For the older children you could sing "Do as I'm Doing".
- Bring them back and have them sit in their chairs. Talk to them about how everyone followed the leader. If the leader went around the bench everyone else did too. If the leader stepped over something....and some of the other things your leader did and said to do.
- Have you ever said an unkind word to someone and then wished that you had not? Have you ever hurt someone’s feelings because you didn’t think carefully before you acted? Do you ever feel uncertain about what you should do when someone wants you to do something you know is wrong? Have you wondered what you should do when someone hurts your feelings? In all of these situations, thinking about Jesus Christ can help you.
Sharing Time:
- It is easy to do things that hurt others or ourselves when we do not think carefully before we act or when our minds are full of anger, fear, or confusion. Because our actions follow our thoughts, thinking about Jesus Christ can help us. Thoughts of His life, His example, and what He wants us to do can calm our minds and help us make righteous choices.
As you think about the Savior, ask yourself, “What would Jesus Christ want me to do?” Answering this question will help each of us follow Him and choose the right.
The Savior loves us and wants us to be happy. He wants us to be kind, loving, forgiving, helpful, obedient, honest, and thankful. When we do these things, we are keeping His commandments. Following the example of Jesus Christ will help us be happy.
