"A Night of Value"

WHAT DO WE WANT TO HAVE HAPPEN:

Have the YW share with their parents and other YW and leaders what they have learned by doing their Personal Progress during the past year.

PREPARATION AND SUPPLIES NEEDED:

1. Here is a template for an invitation that you can download. Right mouse click on the template and select "copy". Then open up your computer program you want to paste it into and then right mouse click and select "paste". You may have to resize it depending on your computer program. Then print it off onto heavier white paper. You will want to put your own time and place information on the inside of the card.
   
2. Prepare your "Value dinner or refreshments" that you will be serving.
3. Have tables set up with "value" colored table cloths and flowers for centerpieces.
4. Member of laurel presidency to conduct.
5. Tables set up for YW to display their projects they are sharing.
6. Have the YW prepared to sing a special musical number. "I Walk by Faith."
7. Give each Young Woman a set of Personal Progress Scripture Stickers to use as she continues to work on her Personal Progress Value Experiences and Projects.

YW in Excellence Program

1. Welcome (by a member of the Laurel Presidency)
2. Opening Song
3. Opening Prayer
4. Young Women Theme (have all young women stand and repeat together)

Explanation of YW in Excellence by YW President

1. Explain the YW have been working all year on their value experiences and projects that they will be sharing.
2. This evening is to give recognition to each YW. Recognize each of their hard work and effort they have put into what they are sharing.
3. You may want to give a brief overview of the Personal Progress program if there is any there who may not be acquainted. (inactive parents etc.)
4. (Remember this evening is for the girls to shine....so do all you can to help them.)

Presentation of Value Goals and Projects by the girls

1. I always start with the oldest girls in the Beehive Class. Then Mia Maids and then Laurels.
2. Be sure that there is a piano and anything else the girls may need to share their value.

Concluding remarks by the Bishop

Conclusion

1. Have the Laurel President thank all of the young women for sharing. Have her share her testimony of the Personal Progress Program and give a package of the "Personal Progress Scripture Stickers" to each of the girls to use as they continue working of their Personal Progress.
2. Have the Young Women sing the closing song "I Walk By Faith". It can be found in the 1985 New Era
