Project Ideas
for Individual Worth
- Come to a knowledge and understanding of the Light of Christ. How does having the Light of Christ help us become a person of worth? Translate your knowledge and understanding in a visible way.
- Find someone you consider an outstanding leader, athlete, teacher, etc. in your community, church, or school. Interview him/her with your prepared questions to how and why they became what they "are". Prepare a way to display your interview and findings.
- Make a chart or prepare a self-test on what you believe are your positive and negative characteristics or traits. Prepare goals or a "course" on improving your negatives (example: diet, nutrition, improve vocabulary). Show ways you can use your positives on influencing others. Make a visible display for your program (example: photos of the "before and after me).
- Read the books: The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom; The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery; or the poem "Equipment" by Edgar A. Guest. Prepare a creative visible report or critique.
- Discover and read as much as you can on leadership using books, experiences, talks, etc. Create a display containing the main points that interested you. Include poems, essays, inspirational thoughts, charts, even cartoons to clarify your points.
- Make up a song, essay, poem, or play entitled "Me".
- How did traditions in your family help you become who you are? Be able to display information, or make a pamphlet on Family Traditions.
- Create a "class project" for your display using photos or videos of your events and progress. Maybe have a competition which centers on values or example which would help in self-development or self-improvement (examples: confidence, sense of humor, physical fitness). You could include theme, prizes. etc.
